Biography and Fee Schedule Dr. Loomis received his dental degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1972. He completed a one year general practice residency with the U.S. Public Health Service at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, and then spent two years on active duty with the Indian Health Service. He opened his general dental practice in his hometown of Albuquerque in 1975, which he maintained until 2002. All of his professional activity is now devoted to forensic odontology including investigations, research, teaching and consultation. He received his formal
training in forensic odontology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology and
the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, and has been a forensic odontology consultant for the
New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator (NMOMI) in Albuquerque NM since
1976. He is certified by the American Board of Forensic Odontology, a
Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and a member of the A As well as his consultative and research work at NMOMI, he presents the annual odontology course to the Forensic Pathology Fellows at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and lectures to deputy medical investigators, state and local governmental agencies, dental societies, and university and high school students on forensic odontology. Dr. Loomis has been qualified as an expert witness in New Mexico and Texas.
